SMALL GROUP TOURS 2018 / 2019

We are running a series of small group tours in 2018 and 2019. Tentative dates are for October/November 2018 and also February 2019. The full itinerary and all details will be available soon. This will be a 14 days active coach tour (i.e. plenty of time off the coach and doing outdoor activities), taking in both North and South Islands. If you would like to be kept informed of the details of these tours as they become available just email colinmairs123@gmail.com with the subject title “NZ Tours Info“.

Excursion New Zealand is owned and operated by Auckland-based professional tour guide Colin Mairs.

Colin is a Rick Steves tour guide in Scotland and returns there during NZ low-season to lead Rick’s Scotland tour. Colin’s Excursion New Zealand Small Group Tours adopts the Rick Steves style of travel. This means going “through the back door“, enjoying real-life experiences and becoming a temporary local.

Colin is a member of ProGuides New Zealand, the professional association of tour guides in New Zealand, and of the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations.

Colin speaks and guides in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

Private tours for independent travellers are also available. You can find some example of these on our Tours page. Private tours can be customised to your specific desires and interests… Just let us know where you want to go and we can begin planning your dream tour in New Zealand!

We have pages which provide some more information to help you plan your visit to this beautiful land and to learn a bit more about what makes it such a special place.
